IntelliStory books have been developed as a step-by-step program to guide children through the joyful process of reading in the elementary years. Each level addresses a stage in a child's reading development. This reading program fosters confidence in the early stages of reading and makes the reading adventure a pleasurable journey for the children.
Series I for beginner readers (4 years and older) has been designed for children who are beginning to learn reading. Simple three letter CVC words and level 1 sight words are used in the book to help children develop confidence as they attempt reading words and sentences all by themselves.
There are 8 books in series 1, each written with emphasis on short vowel sounds like a, e, i, o, u and short sentences that are easy for budding readers. The first five books focus on individual short vowel sounds - a, e, i, o, u and the last three books help build confidence by mixing and matching the five vowel sounds. |
